Haunted house is up and running!!
Sorry for the lack of Blog-Updates lately. I’m a busy guy dammit. Hey, what’s your problem?!? I have shit going on. GET OFF MY BACK!! Sorry. I was out of line. No, it was my fault. NO, it was MY fault. Ok, yeah, I love you too.
Anyway. The haunted house opened, and is running strong! We had a decent crowd for that early in the season. Saturday night we had a steady line almost all night. Friday and Sunday were rags, but I didn’t expect much. My partners, on the other hand, expect to put through 40,000 people in the first night, and were having nervous breakdowns the second night when that didn’t happen. They both need to chill out for Gods sake. We will get busier and busier as the month progresses. I liked the slow weekend so we could get a fell for how things go. That worked out great. This is all leading up to Oct 17th. I hope, by then, we’re not relying on that date to bring in 10,000 people, but if we are, that day is our best shot. That is the day 93.1 WDRQ will be broadcasting live from our parking lot. They are the biggest radio station in the area for our demographic. Hopefully we won’t need them. I, along with everyone else, have a good feeling about this thing. I just hope it works out. More for my partners, than for me. They have more at stake than I do. If I don’t make any money, I won’t mind. I’ll chalk it up to a good time working with friends. As long as my partners make their money back. That is my main concern.
We took last night off. Everyone is just beat up. We decided we can get everything we need to get done, on Tuesday or early Wednesday. We’d be better off getting some rest. Billy and I will be at the haunted house untill late tonight, I’m sure, since it will be just the two of us. I don’t even want to say where my other partner will be. I’m not real happy about it.
Still Married
Week 2 of married life. Same as week 1 although for the first time since we got hitched, I got to eat dinner with my wife last night. Then we stopped by my in-laws to drop off a present to my father-in-law. I bought him a little radio controllled 50th anniversary corvette, just like his. Except they didn’t have the convertible. They only had the coupe, but oh well, it’s still cool looking. Comes with this little glass case, so you could put it on your desk. Then drive it around after you shut your door. ![]()
