Another late night….
I was at the haunted house pretty late last night. Again. As I sit here at my desk at work, I wonder how much of the work that needs to be done, is getting done at the haunted house. My guess is none. For some strange reason, it seems that work only gets done there, when I’m there. I purposely didn’t show up till around 6:15 yesterday, just to see if shit was getting accomplished in my absence. The stupid part about that, is that I knew nothing was getting done, and all I managed to do was make it so I had to run around like a madman before we opened. I’m going to call my “partners” today, and give them a list of shit to do. Anyone want to bet how much of it actually gets done?
You know, if you have kids now, eventually they’ll turn into teenagers
I gotta say, Tony cracks me up. He treats the actors like children. Of course, they act like children, but it’s just funny to hear. The best part is he gets shit done that way. The actors were leaving the place a mess, so Tony sat down with them and talked to them like a bunch of 5 year olds, and they started cleaning up their shit. Funny stuff. We have some complaints about people throwing shit in the haunted house, so I had to threaten to not let them have anything to drink in the house. I kind of play the asshole role there. I’m the only one, besides Tony, that will stand up in front of the actors, and tell them they’re being assholes. And for that, I’m the dick. Check this out. The actors were complaining about not getting any food. My point is, how many jobs fucking feed you? Anyway, we set it up so that one of our vendors would go back there and sell them food. One of those little assholes had the balls to tell the vendor we were running a tab for them. Anna, the vendor, was smart enough to tell the actors that one of us would have to tell her that, before she gave up free food. Not a fun actor meeting that night. Well, it was fun for me. I got to stand up in front of them and tell that was bullshit, and that we were pissed off about it. So we told our vendor to forget it.
We have some really good employees, and some really shitty ones. Tony’s doing a good job keeping the good ones in sight, and the bad ones behind the scenes.
Side note for Joey D
Joey, if you’re still reading the blog, reply every once in a while bro. There is an option to add a reply, all you have to do is put in your name, email address(something has to be in there, but it doesn’t have to be a real address) and add whatever comment you want to. ![]()
Going to see Yia Yia today
Kels got the day off of work. I’m going to get out early, pick her up, and go visit Yia Yia today. She’s not doing good at all. It sucks to see such a strong person in her position.
