My Yia Yia past away last night at 12:02am. I met my Sister and my Dad at the hospital last night. I wanted to see how they were doing. I had to call my brother and tell him, which sucked. He was really close with our grandma. I asked him if he wanted to come over and hang out for a while, and he did. I think it helped him a little. I know it helped me. Loss is a weird thing. We knew Yia Yia wasn’t doing well. We knew she wasn’t going to get better. It was still hard as hell. No matter how much you prepare yourself for what is forthcoming, sometimes your feelings just take over.
