Another weekend gone…

Yia Yia’s funeral is over. It was terrible. You know, I’m ok until the part where everyone pays there last respects. That part get’s me everytime. In church, and the laying of the hands on the casket. That’s the hardest part for me to watch.

This is also the first time I witnessed the actual burial. The weird part is, watching the burial almost gives you some kind of closure. It’s strang, but true.

Seeing the family was cool. My cousin Mike came in town for the funeral. He’s great. Him and Manny (his brother) came up to the haunted house Saturday night. We got to chat for a while, which was nice. Mike used to work for Dell in Texas, but he left for a startup in Boston. He loves it there. This time, I’m for sure going to visit him. My cousin Nick was also in town. He lives in Conneticut and works in New York. I would like to plan a trip to visit them both at the same time. Kind of an East Coast trek. I’m sure a few of the boys would love to go with me.

Lucky hand, over a good hand, MAN I hate that shit
Played a little poker game tonight after tha haunted house closed. I lost a big hand to Billy when he shouldn’t have even been in it. I hate having a good hand, and losing to a lucky one. I got pocket queens, and another queen came up on the flop. Billy sat through all the betting with nothing but a straight draw. And the lucky bastard caught it on the river. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I don’t mind losing to a better hand, but I hate losing to a lucky one.

Ah well, it’s not like the game hasn’t treated me well. Back to work tomorrow, gotta crash.

    Nope. Not yet. I gotta call Chris today on how to get ahold of Joey, so I’ll find out today.

    Finding the good that comes out of a sad thing is very mature. Guess you are growing up. I’m very proud of you.
