We’re finishing tonight

January 20th, 2004 | Category: Play

So, we started the championship in the Michigan Poker Tour on Saturday. The problem is, we had to leave at 6:00pm to go to another tournament.

The second tourney was a $50.00 buy in. I ended up in 6th place. Boo. :P The great part about it is that Joey D took it down! Not only did he get decent cards when he needed them, but he played great. He made a couple of fantastic moves. Check raising, re-raising, and basically just bullied the other guy out. Fun to watch.

I’m glad that Joey took it down. If I didn’t do it, I wanted it to be him. Damn good times.

Anyway, tonight we’re finishing up the first game we started on Saturday. It’s for the 2003 championship. Nate right now is in the chip lead. I’m second, then Ken, then Fish. I love my position. I think Nates chip lead will hurt him more than help him. I’ll give you an example of why. When we were getting down to the wire Saturday afternoon, Nate sat on his chip lead. What that did was let people that were short stacked, get back in the game. When Nate sat back and decided not to play anything and just wait for time to run out, I was short stacked. Within 45 minutes I had moved into second in chips. Hell another 45 and I’d be in the lead.

But anyway, we’re going to finish up tonight. Should be fun, whatever happens.
