Broke the streak

Category: Play, Poker

I played poker tonight at Ken’s house. First off, he just recently finished his poker table top. Complete with felted top, and vinyl wrapped padded edge. I love it. I think he did a great job on it.

Ok. The streak I’m referring to is my current losing streak in games at Ken’s house. I’ve actually never won there. Until tonight that is. The players were Ken, Fish, Nate, Rob (Nates buddy) and myself. First out was Rob. I quickly realized that he called almost everything. This was great for me since I was sitting to his left. I took him out. Next out was Ken. He went all in after the flop with K, Q, when K, A, J was on the board. I had an ace and took him out. Then Fish took out Nate and we went heads-up. It wasn’t long before I took him out. I had a commanding chip lead going heads-up with him. He went all in pre-flop on J, 10 suited. I called him based purely on chip count with 3, 5 off suit. I ended up catching the wheel when the flop gave me 4, 2, 2, and the river and turn were a rag, and the Ace. He caught a bad beat, but I don’t know how much longer he would have lasted anyway.

So I post another win on the MPT leader board, furthering my lead. I’m also now the first person to ever win over 1000 in prize money. :)

Hey Scott - yeah too bad we couldn’t meet up this weekend. Chicago was a blast! We’ll have to do it some other time, eh? Check out the Chicago pics on my website when you get a chance. Http://KotsisSkiClub.com then go to “other pics and videos”, then click “pictures”. Anyway time to crash for the night - I’m out in Corvallis Oregon for the week - this is Oregon State land….interesting, eh? Take it easy!
