8,467,932 tests down, and one to go!

I had my MRI/MRA of my brain tonight. My appointmet was switched a couple of times already, so I was happy to get it over with. 7:00pm, back at the imaging center. As I type this, I’m realising that I never posted about my last test at the imaging center, lol.

On Wednesday April 27th, I had a corotid doppler. Doesn’t that sound fun? It was actually pretty harmless. Tonights test on the other hand, was quite different. MRI’s aren’t bad, unless the person who’s taking it is claustrophobic. Wouldn’t you know, I actually am claustrophobic. Who’d a thought?

I just kept my eyes closed the whole time. It wasn’t that bad except the couple of times that I couldn’t get drowning out of my head. All in all, I kept it together pretty good. I was in for 40 minutes. 30 minutes, then out for a shot, then back on for 10 more minutes. The shot was ok, well the first one was, the second stung a bit. Yeah, the guy tried the outside vein on my arm first, and it didn’t take. Whatever the hell that means. So he ahd to give me another one. You know, shots don’t really bother me. I’m not afraid of needles, never was. But I have the worst luck with people giving me shots.

I once had some asshole nurse try to give me a blood gas test, chew up my arm so bad that she had to use the other one. Then after she jacked that wrist up, another nurse finally came in to do it right. If you’ve never had a blood gas test, it’s not just a regular needle, it’s as thick as a garden hose. Damn thing hurts like a bitch.

Okay, so back to the MRI. The one thing I did do, was after the guy gave me my shot, and told me that there was only 8 minutes left in the test, I did some quick math in my head and decided to count down from 500. I figured it should be around 480 seconds til it was over, but I might as well add a few. This was to try to keep my mind off of being stuffed into a high tech coffin, which is basically what I was in. And I still didn’t want to open my eyes to see exactly how close the ceiling in that thing was. Well I got down to about 115 when the guy came across my headset and told me that he was just going to check the test and make sure everything was ok. Then he told me that he was taking me out. Thats when I opened my eyes to see how small that area is.

In case you’ve never had one, the MRI, or devil tube as I’ve now nicknamed it, is REALLY FRIGGIN SMALL. I had this clamp on my head, which didn’t help, and when I finally looked, the ceiling was right on top of me. I’m glad I didn’t accidentally open my eyes in the middle of the test, I might have ahd to use the emergency squeeze ball.

Okay, that sounds dirty.

Only IE supports Web Archive Files, and I can’t get the logo to show correctly using an HTML file.

Anyway, whenever there is an update, it will be there.

Pistons and Wings played last night.

The Pistons rolled the Bucks last night to close out the series. They now move on to play the Nets on Monday. A little payback from last season. Tayshaun Prince was absolutely off the hook yesteday. So much so that I used the term “off the hook”. I was telling Kel last night how I want to get an authentic Prince jersey. Ironically, Joey called me this morning to tell me that he tiled Tayshauns house yesterday. He said he’s was cool, and when they go back to finish the job, he’ll see if he can score me an autograph. Good times.

Then there was the Wings game. What a game. Maltby scores 26 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead. That was no where near enough to get comfortable. Then the Wings go up 2-0, and it was easier to let out a little sigh of releif. Until of course, the Flames scored 2 goals in 18 seconds. All of a sudden, we have a new game. It was a total defensive breakdown on both goals. CuJo couldn’t do anything more. But he did make a save, in the third period, on a 2 on 1 that helped keep the game tied. It was a great play by Calgary. Fischer gave up the puck, and handed the Flames a 2 on 1. He sprawled to take the pass away, but Nieminen made a great play to get the puck to Donovan who tipped the puck towards the net. Cujo stacked teh pads, and absolutely robbed Donovan of a goal. Highlight reel material for sure.

Dandenault scored half way through the 3rd to put the Wings back up on top, and they ended up winning 4-2. But late in the third, with only 3 seconds left on the clock, Nieminen took a horrible penalty. He charged at CuJo, with no one else even close to him, and checked him back into his own net. He got a 5 minute major penalty and ejected from the game. Relevant? Nope. There was only 3 seconds left. I don’t see how the league can look at that replay and not see that it was blatant intent to injure. Nieminen should be suspended at the very least for the next game. We’ll see what the league does though, Calgary already has their top 3 defenseman sidelined. I wonder if the league will take Nieminen away also.

So tonight, I hosted a little poker game with the fellas. I had told Brian that I would host a game when he made detective, and worked a regular schedule. So tonight it was. Actually, I’m still sitting at the table right now, only I’m out already. Tonight was a case where no matter how good I played, it wasn’t meant to be. I called 3 seperatw all-ins, everytime I had the better hand, and I was out drawn on the river each time.

Wasn’t meant to be.

I think it’s because I really want the next win. Billy and I have sort of a rivalry. He’s in second place. If I get one more win, before he gets another one, then I will be 1000 up on second place. It’s just so I can rub it in. Heh.

I don’t like Michael Moore. I never did. Originally I didn’t hate the guy, I just wasn’t a fan. That was until the Oscar fiasco. Then I started to hate the guy. Wrong venue for that kind of crap.

I also don’t think that he is a necessarily a good film maker either. I saw Roger and Me. Not bad. Nothing special either. Yeah, I watched Bowling for Columbine. I wasn’t very impressed. Of course, most of that movie is filled with opinions or flat out lies. But whatever. I’ve always had the attitude that I could give or take Michael Moore. That was until this morning when I heard what he said.

Fuck you Michael Moore. Nothing could ever constitute a statement like this one. It’s those sons and daughters that give you the oppertunity to use the first amendment only to say something like this about them. I would hope that a statement like this would end your worthless excuse for a career. I know after the crap you pulled at the Oscars, you certainly won’t be welcome back there. Go eat another Big Mac you fat tub of shit.
