Our new bikes!
Kel and I went out today and picked up a pair of mountain bikes! We talked about it for a while and decided it would be something fun for us to do together. Kelly picked up this bike:

It’s a Trek Navigator 300. It’s one of their “comfort level” bikes. More for comfort than for offroad. Cool options though. The shifter is built in the grip, and you twist it to shift. She has an “accessory” bar on her handle bars, that has a computer chip built in. We bought this little unit that goes on the bar that tells the time, date, distance, all kinds of cool stuff.
Here is the bike I got:

It’s a Trek 4500. More of a standard mountian bike. I wanted something that I could use both on and off road. I have the RockShox fork on the front. And teh shifter is a quick flip shifter. Downshift with your index finger, and upshift with your thumb underneath the handlebar. It’s very easy to go from gear to gear.
Both bikes have 24 gears. We also bought water bottle cages. The guy said they are aluminum but you could probably bend them in slightly to take regular water bottles. Well, I bent mine VERY slightly and broke the fucking thing. I had the bike like a minute, and I broke it. Nice job dickhead. So tomorrow I’m going to get another one, and a water bottle. Screw that messing with the cage crap.
We also picked up a bike rack for the trucks. So we can take our bikes up north, or wherever. Good times.
2 commentsPistons keep rollin!
Well, Pistons win again last night and set themselves up for a clinching game 5 at home. WOW. I’m so excited. I called 5 games before the series started, and it looks like it might come true! My boss told me today that after I told him Pistons in 5 still after game 2, he would have put any amount of money on it that the Lakers would win. I’m trying to get tickets for game 5, but if not, no big deal, I’ll just watch it at home like I did the others.
It was a good weekend otherwise. Played some cards Friday night, SAturday I hung out with Billy. He stopped by on the way home because, and I quote, “Steve isn’t home right now, and the peice of shit is there, so I don’t want to go home”. LOL Some of you might know exactly what he’s referring to when he says “the peice of shit is there”. If you don’t, it’s funny. Although not my place to say, sorry. Then Sunday it was game night. I did get the front lawn cut, and my overhead LCD is finally completed. Although I was the one that completed the install at my Dad’s shop. But it looks great, and we used it at lunch today when Keko, Rodney and I watched Not Another Teen Movie. Good times
