I got my truck lowered! Woohoo!

Seriously though, this thing looks badass. I never thought it would have this much of an impact on the look of the truck, but it’s a HUGE difference. I love it!

Friday night, per usual, was poker night. We played two games at the shop. What made this Friday particularly good, was I won both games. It was just good timing. I had ordered a Ground Force lowering kit for my truck a week ago, and it came in on Friday. I thought if I win enough in poker to cover the cost, I’d get it installed this week. If not, I’d have to wait. I went to talk to Steve over at Auto Lab on Saturday, and he told me the cost. I DID win enough to get the kit installed. Yea!

So Wednesday I’m getting my kit installed. I figured I’d just take the day off of work. I’m going to drop my truck off in the morning, and go over to my Dads shop and wait til it’s done. I’ll post pics then.

Other than going to Auto Lab on Saturday, I also had a bachelor party to go to. Pretty standard bachelor party, strippers, gambling, booze. The only bad thing was there was no one to run the craps table. Joey and I ended up stepping up and running it, so neither one of us could gamble. I made a few hundred bucks for Dino, but because I couldn’t bet, I made zero for myself. I guess you could say I lost zero, but that’s just being pessimistic. Kelly and I were making a joke that bachelor parties just aren’t for me anymore. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. Strippers are gross. The only thing I have left is degenerate gambling. I ended up not being able to do that either. Eh, what are you going to do, Dino made a few bucks, and thats what that was all about anyway. Besides, I had to leave early because I had to get up early on Sunday.

Also, I wanted to comment about this asshole that was at the bachelor party. I wanted to punch this guy in the mouth. I don’t know who this guy is, and I don’t care. He’s the kind of guy that will agree to teach you how to play a game, as long as you’re willing to put your money up while you’re learning. (he actually did this, this is when I realized that he himself didn’t really know how to play) This guy drove me crazy all night. He kept asking to play a hold em tourney. “Come on, are we going to play cards or what?” That kind of shit. Let me tell you, this guy was the typical american retard that I talk about. The one that thinks he’s a rounder because he watches the Travel Channel. Now I could have played this guy, and taken every cent he had. But to do that, I would have had to give him the satisfaction of actually agreeing to play, and I just couldn’t bring myself to give this tool any satisfaction. Heh, I told him I had played 10 hours of poker the night before, only against “real” players. Besides all that, the guys was a pain in the ass at the craps table too.

Sunday morning was Dad’s first car show. It was over at Freedom Hill. They had around 100 cars there, but not that many people. The reason I beleive the turnout wasn’t that great is because of the price for parking. How the fuck is Freedom Hill going to charge 10 bucks for parking? Then, they make you park so far away, and on dirt, that I could have walked there from my house and been better off. That’s the last time I’ll go there for anything. Fuck that place. Okay, I feel better now. Anyway, the car show was cool. Steve from Auto Lab had his Cavalier there, and that thing is sweet. A few of his buddies had some nice rides there also. I’ll post the pics whenever I take them off the camera. There were some fresh classics there also. All in all it was a fun show, and my Dad and I just hung out for like 5 hours. I also won an Eagle One detailing kit for my car in the door raffle. So that made up for the 10 bucks to park. Freedom Hill still isn’t off the hook though….dirty bastards.

So I downloaded and installed SP2 for my laptop last night. During the installation it had to reboot, and when it tried, BSOD. (blue screen of death)

Okay, so let’s try that again. BSOD. Again, BSOD. Okay, screw SP2. Lets hop into safe mode and use the restore point we created just before installing SP2. BSOD. Shit. Long story short (too late) it was just after 1:00am that I got my damn laptop to work again. Now I have to try and identify which driver was giving SP2 the conflict, so I can update it and re-install the service pack.

On a better note regarding computing, I finally got the date bar on this site to have a gradient fill. I ended up having to create a picture and use that as the background. Some slight adjusting to make sure the background looked good no matter what size your resolution is, and I was done. Happy times.

Ivan is currently a category 4 hurricane. 30 foot swells in the middle of the storm. Okay….that’s big scary shit. If the storm hits Mobile Alabama as predicted, 12 blocks of downtown could be flooded.

I’m worried about New Orleans. Even though he storm turned a little north, New Orleans is a big ass valley, mostly sitting several feet below sea level. And I’ve never been to Marti Gras!

If it were to get hit, it would be devistating. Experts say there could be as many as 400 thousand people left in the city because evacuation is taking around 10-12 hours. Because of the fact that NO is a valley, if hit it could be under as much as 20 feet of water! Could you imagine the city you live in, being under 20 feet of water?

I want to make sure I have this right. When the kids now a days say “she’s a very sexual person” that means that whomever they are speaking of, is a dirty whore right? Because on that stupid show last night, they kept saying that “Sarah is a very sexual person”. Or “Sarah is very free with her sexuality”. This might be a generational thing, but we used to call that a slut. Times sure have changed.

I tell you what though, whatever you call it, that fat ass is a train wreck waiting to happen. I can’t wait to see what happens…..HEY! See how hooked I am now…..SHIT!

I can’t explain it. I don’t know how it happened. But it did. And there is nothing I can do about it now.

Some of you may know what I’m talking about. Hell, some of you may be sufferers yourself. For those of you that don’t know, I’m talking about the dirty virus known as MTV’s The Real World.

That’s right. Somehow, I’m stuck watching the first episode. Shit.

MTV did try to make this season a little different than the other seasons. They threw in 2 gay guys this time. Here’s the spin. One guy is obviously gay. The other, not so much. Oooh, sexual tension. ….Bleh.

You know, I hate this shit. I hate these kinds of shows, and hate The Real World in particular. What I think I hate the most about it, is it’s addictive nature. This fucking show is like crack. I see it on for 2 minutes and I’m hooked on it. DAMN!
