I’m officially done with the Carnival of Terror. Woohoo! I turned in my resignation last evening. Okay, so it wasn’t that formal. It was more like I had a disagreement with one of my partners, and decided that it wasn’t worth the stress to try and work with someone that I simply don’t like. So I’m done. The good part is, I don’t have to work Thurs, Fri and Sat anymore. The bad part is, I would have liked to ride out the last weekend there, and finish off completely. Ah well, not like I was getting paid anyway, lol.

Rich Hall? He had a stint on Saturday Night Live and was also on Not Necessarily the News. That’s where I first remember him using hte term sniglet. A sniglet is a word that doesn’t exist in the dictionary, but should.

For Example:
Carperpetuation (kar’ pur pet u a shun) - n. The act, when vacuuming, of running over a string at least a dozen times, reaching over and picking it up, examining it, then putting it back down to give the vacuum one more chance.

Ashlee Simpson is a perfect example of how MTV can control our youth. This poor girl is not only ugly as hell, but she also can’t sing for shit. She’s horrible. Probably one of the single worst performers that I’ve ever seen. She also, as evident by this video, can’t improvise at all. Man, she sucks. I would love it if something like this ruined her career, but that won’t happen until MTV is done with her. Just goes to show you how dumb our youth is. (as a whole, individual cases will vary of course)

Okay, so there is a green screen behind home plate that’s been driving me crazy all through this damn game. I’m watching the game on FOXHD. That stupid friggin green screen that they are using to digital insert advertisements makes the umpire and any left handed hitters all blurry. FOX seriously needs to remove that god damn thing. It’s making HD look like analog.

I’m only watching the game because there isn’t a damn thing on. I really don’t care who wins. All I want is Cabrerra to clean that vomit off his helmet. You should see it in HD….gross.

Happy Birthday Bro!

Not much been going on lately. We had another slow Thursday last night at the haunted house. I still don’t think we should be open on Thursdays, but whatever. It was funny that Shawn asked Steve if I was mad at him because of the garbage he was posting on my site. Even though he said Tom made him do it. You know, I probably would have been mad had I not thought it was so funny that he didn’t know he can’t post anonymously. Probably not though. If Shawn wants to think I have some ego problem, I don’t care. Especially if he only says it anonymously on a website, and not to my face. I don’t put much merit into something someone says behind my back or to my face only when they think I don’t know who they are. So that whole scenario was too funny for me to be angry. I won’t say that it didn’t change my opinion on Shawn though; there is just no need to go there.

David (the dude that’s been cutting my hair since I was a kid) came by the haunted house last night. That was cool. Last year he could never make it by, and last night he and Melissa went through. I know it’s hard for them with the two kids, to get out, so I appreciate them coming down to support us. The coolest part about it was that he even paid to go through. Most people are constantly looking for hand outs. Freebies. He walked right up, asked how much, and paid the money to go through. He did that because he knew why we were there. To make money. I’ve known this guy for 14 years, and he didn’t expect anything. Good guy right there.

Is that too much to be excited about? Maybe I’m too much of a cynic. I have no faith in people anymore. This haunted house experience has drained it all out of me. It started with shit not getting done, which was partly my fault; I was just as un-motivated as everyone to dive into this project once again. Then it moved onto employees picking and choosing what they want to do, and fuck what you ask them to do. It’s not just one guy, as much as some conspiracy pirates would like to believe, it was more than just one guy. We get together and decide to “trim the fat” so to speak, and this one guy caught the brunt of my tirade because he just happened to be the last person to tell me he wasn’t doing what I asked him to. I said fine, but then we’re firing some people around here because I’m not going to PAY other people to sit here and do nothing while I’m out doing shit, and NOT getting paid for it. Am I out of line? Some people think so. Until those people are in my situation they can think that all they want. I could care less. (<—see, bad attitude guy)

Van Helsing comes out on DVD today. I’m buying it. I think I want to get Smallville on DVD also. On Nov 15th they’re releasing a 3 pack, all three seasons on DVD. I might pick that up. I missed the third season, so instead of trying to pick it back up on TV, I might as well catch up on DVD. 140 bucks is a lot though….lol, like that’s going to stop me.

amazon.com has a sale going on right now. 63% off all season one boxed sets. 24 is on there, and although I’ve never watched that show, I know people that do, so that’s for you. I wonder if Smallville is on there, maybe I’ll buy that for 15 bucks, and then just pick up the rest later. Okay, gotta go check amazon.

Kel and I went and saw Napoleon Dynamite last night. First off, I couldn’t beleive it was still showing at the movies. And at AMC 30 no less, not some Cinemark $1.00 toilet theater. Anyway, I’ve heard a lot of hype about this movie, so I had some high hopes going in. Did it live up to my expectations? Nope. Could it have? Probably not. The movie was funny though, and well worth the price of admission. Check it out of you have the oppertunity. If not, it will be out on DVD Dec 21st. Kel and I left during the credits, and we ended up missing the added scene. So I still haven’t seen the wedding scene. Guess I have to buy the DVD huh.
