Hmm.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one that does this, maybe everyone isn’t as curious as me. So someone tells you a movie is bad. Then you read the reviews and they say it’s bad also. Then you read on sites like IMDB that beyond bad, it’s one of the top 5 crappiest flicks ever made. For a while there, it was number one. Actually, I’m not sure, it might still be number one. My point is, with all of these things saying how shitty this movie is, when you see it on, do you watch it? Could it be that bad? I mean, we’ve all watched Showgirls, so there has to be something behind this, right?

Today I saw the movie You Got Served. I didn’t see the whole movie, but then again, I don’t think I have to. Was this movie as bad as everyone says it is? Could this be one of the top 5 crappiest flicks ever? I’m here to tell you that yes, yes it not only could be, but it probably is. WOW, this movie sucked. Was there cool dancing in it? Maybe. It was really hard to tell considering you have to wade through an hour and a half of shit to see it.

Seriously, go out now and rent it. It’s that bad.

That didn’t last long.

Comments are off again. I got a bunch of spam in the ten seconds I had comments back on.

I hope the fucker that invented whatever spam bot is hitting my site, gets scurvy.

I have comments on again. It’s set to where I have to approve them though. So I will be approving them until I get the security feature installed.

The only thing is, I’m not really sure how the approving thingy works. So I’ll be winging it a little.

Bare with me

December 23rd, 2004 | Category: Not Fun

I found a little security feature I’m going to add. When you post a comment, there will be a box that will have a randomly generated security code. You will have to copy the code (around 6 characters) into another box. Without that code entered, the site will not let you post a comment. It shouldn’t be that big of a deal at all.

I will try to get it installed as soon as possible, so the comments will be back up and running. It looks like I’m going to need Peters help though, so it’s contingent on me getting a hold of him. Hopefully it will be up soon.

Okay….

December 23rd, 2004 | Category: Not Fun

I had to shut down the comments on the site for now. If you have a registered username, which pretty much no one does, you can still comment. I’m working on it though.

God damn spam assholes.

Fricken Spam Bot

December 23rd, 2004 | Category: Not Fun

So sometime last night, my site started getting hit with a spam bot. Between last night and this morning, I had 185 comments I had to delete. I get emails every time someone posts a comment, so I had 185 emails to delete also. Not a great start to an already fucked up day due to the snowy ride in. Oh yeah, and the cops were here at work this morning because our alarm was going off when Nate came in, and when he tried to turn it off he apparently only turned off the outside alarm, and the silent one was still going. So I’m sitting in my office first thing this morning, and the cops come in.

What the fuck? I’m going to go back to bed. What a crap day already.

Because of this spambot, I will be researching security ways for comments to be posted. I’m going to try and make it as easy as possible. I don’t necessarily like the one Peter has, because I don’t like having you guys have to manage a separate username and password. And I just don’t like the interface. Hopefully I will be able to find some random code generator that will make you type in a code to post, that won’t be too bad.

Good post from Engadget

December 22nd, 2004 | Category: Fun

I thought this was funny, via Engadget:

“So the other day a UPS driver in New Hampshire was on his way to the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene to deliver some much-needed parts for a piece of medical equipment when he got into a crash. He suffered a head injury and was taken by ambulance to the very same hospital he was headed to, but they weren’t able to do any of the tests they needed because the brain scan machine was broken—and the parts needed to fix it were sitting in his wrecked truck on the highway. If only there were some word to describe situations like these…”

Ironic huh.

Keep in mind though that “Hallmark doesn’t make a Sorry your dodgeball coach is buried under two tons of irony card.”

Kickin it old school on the iPod right now…”Gyrlz, they love me-Heavy D and the Boys”
