So, we woke up this morning with no heat. In any normal american home, this would be shocking, For us however, that’s simply not the case. Since we moved in to this house, we have had our heat go out on us every winter. Not sure if it ever goes out in the summer.
Anyway, when I left for work this morning it was a brisk 62 degrees in the house. Refreshing if you’re a member of the polar bear club. I’m not. Ron came over today to see if he could fix it. He ended up speaking with the Heating and Cooling guy that comes out here annually. Based on what Ron told the guy on the phone, he was able to deduce that the thermal coupler was bad. Okay, that would be pretty cool if he was right. Kel stopped at Lowes on the way home and picked one up. So off we go to the garage to change the thermal coupler, which as it turns out, is not just for time travel. I won’t get into the process of changing a thermal coupler, but let me just say, you haven’t lived until you’ve performed this feat of greatness

We have heat. Our H & C guy is apparently a genius. And I feel so much like a man for fixing it, that I almost can’t stand it. So far, it’s a pretty good night.

I was online last night playing this game called iSketch. It’s basically Win, Lose or Draw, online. It’s pretty cool. You draw, like you would with MS Paint, words that the game randomly generates. The other people playing try to guess what it is. You get points for guessing correctly, and how many people guess your drawings correctly. You get more points for guessing first, then second, and so on. What I realized is that I’m really good at getting people to guess my drawings, but I’m terrible at guessing other peoples stuff. Up until yesterday, I would have attributed that to the other people not having any talent. Only I can’t do that anymore since other people were guessing correctly. So either I just suck at guessing other people drawings, or they cheat. In any case, here is the link: iSketch!
