Pop’s is off the machines totally. That’s great since he can’t stand the tube in his throat. I talked to him today. He’s in a lot of pain, which is to be expected. He’s on morphine, so while it’s working, he’s a bit of a zombie. Anyway, one day at a time from here.

BTW, I happen to have some morphine for sale, if anyone is interested.

He’s awake now. They couldn’t ween him off the respirator yesterday, and might not be able to today. He’s having a rough time. But he is awake and alert. Probably extremely uncomfortable, and in pain all the time, but it will only get easier from here.
