More and more possible nominations for the Sucky awards.

So, Kel and I have been watching it for two hours now. They have given out 6 awards. The rest has been performances. Most of which, suck terribly. With the exception of Green Day. They fucking wailed! If you don’t have American idiot, their new Cd, go get it. There is a possibility that it’s better than Dookie. And Dookie was GREAT. When people ask me what the best albums of all time are, Dookie is always one of them. Why? Because every single song was great. You never have to skip a track when listening to it. Just go buy American Idiot, you won’t be disappointed.

Anyway, this award show blows. A shitload of commercials, and all performances. Instead of actually giving away awards (what a novel idea) they’re just doing performances and running a ticker at the bottom of the screen. It’s like I’m watching the bastard love child of CNN and MTV. But much like a train wreck, I can’t stop looking at it. Percent chance this painful waste of precious TV time actually gets better before it ends? Probably 0.

A few things I’ve learned from the Grammy’s.
Kanye West=crazy. And when I say crazy, I mean fucking nuts.
Lisa Marie Presley=Total skank. Not at all attractive. Gross even.
U2. Great band, simply not cool anymore. Remember when it was cool to be Bono? That time has come and gone. Someone please let Bono know.
John Mayer looks like he’s convulsing when he’s singing. It’s rather entertaining.
Alicia Keyes. Not only has one hell of a voice, but she’s hot
Jaime Fox is funny, he can act, and my man can sing too. It’s truley his year. (Bet on him for the best actor Oscar)
The Grammy coordinators put gay people in the front row as they have Ellen Degeneres, her wife/girlfriend/whatever, and Ricky Martin all in the front row.

By the way, what the hell was Ricky Martin doing there? He was a one hit wonder from like 10 years ago. They going to have The Proclaimers and Dexies Midnight Runners next year?

J-lo and Marc Anthony, you guys blow. No one cares about you. Let it go. If you’re going to sing at the Grammy’s, sing in english. I had no friggin clue what the hell you guys were singing about.

Seriously, I hate you two. You suck.

Saturday we spent all day at Hopp’s Little Shoppe on the Corner. Which is my Moms new flower shop. We were helping them out with stuff around the shop, getting ready for Valentines day. The shop is really cool, in a great location. Downtown Port Huron is a pretty cool little town. So that was fun.

We went to a benefit for Ron Mcnabb today. He has cancer and his family put a great benefit to raise money. They had a bunch of silent auctions and some great raffles. It was nice.

Oddly enough I saw Billy and Steve there. The McNabb’s own Action Collision which does a lot of business with insurance companies. Steve and Billy’s insurance guy told them about the benefit. So that was wierd. It was the first time I’ve seen Billy since that time at the haunted house that we almost threw hands. We were civil, shook hands, and made small talk. Probably won’t be having dinner anytime soon.
