#^%&**%$*&$*@%!!!!

Son of a crap!!

Well, I come home today and plug my ipod shuffle in my desktop to change the songs to my workout playlist. I try to fire up iTunes, and it just hangs. Hmm. Kill the process, and try again. Nothing. Okay, CPU monitor has the CPU stuck at 100%.

So I try to shut it down, and it won’t shut down. Okay. Hard reset. PC starts to post, then hangs after it recognizes the processor. Hmm. Try again, same result. Lock up right after it recognizes the processor. It won’t get passed that part, and won’t even go through the memory test.

Shit.

Could it be as easy a resetting the CMOS? Noway. So, I reset the CMOS because I’m thinking it’s either the motherboard, or the RAM. Now, I have a DFI Lanparty motherboard. DFI has a splash screen that shows with the default BIOS settings. So now I get the DFI splash screen, butit just hangs on that. My guess is that it’s reading the processor, but hanging just after. Like before.

SHIT!

Maybe it’s the RAM. Pull one stick out, no help. Swap sticks, same result. So it’s not the RAM.

SONOVABITCH!!!

So I’m thinking that it’s my motherboard or my CPU. I just don’t feel like screwing with it tonight. So my desktop is off, and I’m posting this from my laptop. I guess it’s a good thing I have another laptop, and Kel’s desktop just in case, lol.

Still though, this blows. These are all new parts. If I determine that my motherboard or processor ate itself after only a couple of weeks, I’m going to be pissed.

I’ll deal with it tomorrow.

Lil’ update

Not much to update. Played poker last night. Tired today. I’m stilll kicking around the idea of keeping stats this year, like we did last year. It was nice to see where you stood. For some people at least. It was just a pain in the ass to do everytime we played. It will be easier though, sicne we don’t play as much. Actually, while I type this, I’ve decided to do it. So there will be a new MPT leaderboard up some time today.

Other than that, it’s just a regular old hump day here at work. Well, as regular as it could be nowadays. For those that don’t know, it’s not exaclty going well for anyone here lately. The worst part is I actually like my job. So I sit here, hoping that everything eventually falls in line, and things get better around here. But we all know that’s not going to happen.
