Good morning….
How’s it going this morning? Not bad here. It was a monsoon on the way in this morning. But it lightened up just as I needed to get out of my car and open up the building. Of course, it’s 7:30 right now, and I’m the only one here. I wonder what time everyone’s going to show up.
No commentsClick it or Ticket
Michigan has a seat belt law. I think this law is stupid. But we won’t get into that.
What I want to talk about today, is the “Click it or Ticket” zones. I drove through my first click it or ticket zone yesterday. Apparently, there is no more crime in my area! Yea, we can all rejoice. Crime no longer exists in my city!
There is no other explaination for the entire god damn police force sitting in this click it or ticket zone. I’ve never seen this many cops in one space before. There were more cops sitting on 14 mile road yesterday, then there is at the damn policemans ball.
I never realised what kind of absolutley rediculious waste of resources these stupid “zones” are. The cops have nothing better to do than to bust a bunch of people driving home from work, for not wearing their seatbelt? I bet I could drive through the shitty parts of Warren, and find plenty for them to do. I almost felt bad for the poor shlep that has to stand out on the grass to “ID” these criminals not wearing their seat belt.
Seriously. What the fuck. Get back to work. Fight crime. If sommeone doesn’t want to wear their seat belt, who gives a shit. What asshole in the Michigan government decided to dedicate this much time and energy to stopping people from not wearing their seatbelts? Who ever you are, what a GREAT waste of time and money.
I’m just glad that everything else that was wrong with the world, is solved. So the only issue we have to worry about it whether or not someone wears a seat belt.
Okay, let’s be honest, it’s non of my fucking business if you wear one or not. It shouldn’t be the cops either. That’s the dumbest god damn law, that they are dedicating a lot of time to. Think about it. They’ll pull over poor Mr. Johnson after his shitty day at his 9-5, for not wearing his seat belt, and give him a ticket, while the ax-weilding phsyco maniac with the pound of cocaine in his glove box, and the severed head in his trunk, who also happens to be drunk as fuck, but remembered to put his seat belt on, drives by without issue.
Good thing they got Mr. Johnson though. What a joke.
FYI
I wasn’t pulled over, I just think that the “seatbelt sting” operation that we dedicate no less than 20 officers to, is a complete waste of time and funds.
Hi
Good morning. Been a weird few weeks here at work. Hopefully it will start to become more normal soon. It looks like it might.
So what’s been going on. Let’s see. Well, the WSOP starts tonight on ESPN. I’m actually really looking forward to watching all the games this year, even though I pretty much know who wins all of them. The main event won’t be aired until like September or something like that. I can’t wait to see some of those hands.
I’m right in the middle of attempting to take the rest of the summer off from poker. I don’t know if I will make it or not, but I’m going to try. That includes online play as well. No poker til September. We’ll see how far I get.
Thursday, we’re getting Wide Open West!! Yea! Fuck Comcast. I’ve had it with their ghetto-ass internet, inability to fix my problem, and shitty customer service. I CAN’T WAIT to call them and cancel. I was supposed to have ANOTHER Comcast guy come out to the house on Saturday. This one was supposed to be a supervisor. A person who has the ability to make decisions like working on the pole, instead of inside the house. The problem we have with the internet is NOT in the house. Yet time after time Comcast sent some technician over to do, basically nothing, to try and fix a problem that doesn’t stem from inside my house. Anyway, Saturday between 9:30-12:30. Well guess who didn’t show up. That pretty much pushed me over the edge. So I called and ordered WOW yesterday.
I’m getting:
Digital Cable with one digital box
HD service with the HD pack(NFLhd, ESPNhd, HDnet, HDnet movies etc.)
One HD DVR box
HBO/Encore
4mb broadband
All for less then we’re paying with Comcast, and we don’t have a DVR either! That’s especially cool because I have Tivo on the big TV, and now I’ll have another DVR on the HDTV. Good times.
This is where I would normally put what’s playing on the iPod. However, I’m not listening to the iPod right now. I’me listening to XM radio over th internet using my buddies account. This is pretty cool shit! Right now, it’s Big Country-In a Big Country on the 80’s channel.

Hi.
How have things been? Things have been….a little wierd here. Works been odd, with a bunch of people still layed off. I’ve been working out back in the warehouse everyday, just like old times. woo-fricken-hoo. Really though, it’s not that bad. I like the guys I work with, and I get to leave at 4pm sharp, which is nice.
Other than that, everything else has pretty much been the same. Not much else going on.
No commentsWhat a week.
Man, when I was bitching about Wednesday, I didn’t think that Thursday would be so bad. The company I work for layed almost everyone off on Thursday. I wasn’t one of the people, but tht doesn’t make it less scary. We will be running a skeleton crew through the big 3 shut down, and if all goes well, we will pick everyone back up after business gets better.
It’s been a wierd day today. Working with a bunch of people that are going to be layed off starting next week. There is an odd feeling around today. Nevermind the fact that I will be wearing a lot of hats come Tuesday morning. And I mean, a LOT.
