The site is taking a little longer to edit than I expected as I’m a little lost trying to figure it out. I’ll get it eventually though.

So, how was the weekend? Mines was cool. Kel and I went to Port Huron on Saturday to check out Mom and Mikes new store. They are opening today! There is a ribbon cutting ceremony that the city is doing on Wednesday. Living there is kind of like living in a small town. A new store opening up right on main is a big deal.

Played poker Saturday night. That was cool. We played REALLY late which we haven’t done in a long time. It was fun. Then Sunday, I watched football all day.

Man, the Lions suck. I’ve been blaming Joey Harrington for the past few years. But the fact of the matter is, he’s not the only one that sucks. Don’t get me wrong, he does suck, he’s just not alone in sucking. Roy Williams? He sucks. That guy can’t catch a pass if it hits him in the hands. If you throw a perfect strike to Williams, consider it dropped. Charles Rodgers? He would be okay, if he wasn’t made out of paper mache. Someone on the sidelines sneezed on him, and his arm fell off. Their most effective weapon id Kevin Jones. Sad, isn’t it? So what does Mariucci do? He takes Jones out when the games in the line, and puts Pinner in. WTF?? Killer Kowalski said that they were just trying to change things up. Or at least that was Maruicci’s explaination of why they took out their number one back when they were driving for the win. I didn’t realize that Pinner was a better runningback then Jones. My bad.

Maybe the last drive of the game shouldn’t be the time to make sure everyone on the team has played. I mean, I didn’t get to play in the game at all, but you don’t see me asking to go in there.

The perfect scenario for a team, is to have the ball, driving, with the game on the line. You want to score last, and not give the other team time to score themselves. The Lions get in this situation all the time. And Harrington usually screws it up. Like yesterday, no time left on the clock, last play of the game, and Joey throws the ball into the fifth row. At least throw it up so someone can catch it. He choked with the game on the line….again. He is so uncomfortable in the pocket, it’s rediculious. I have buddies that have been telling me “this is the year”. “After this year if he doesn’t improve, then I’ll agree that he’s no good”. Well guess what. He hasn’t improved. He has no accuracy. He can’t scramble. He’s doesn’t slide around the pocket like he should, he doesn’t let his receivers get seperation (if they could) because he pannicks and throws the dumb ball way to early.

Joey Harrington just flat out doesn’t have what it takes to be an NFL quarterback. I think they should just start over. Get rid of Millen, get rid of Mariucci. Start at the top, and work down. They need a complete overhaul.

The Lions, once again, SUCK.
