As it stands, I am now in minute #8 of my “estimated hold time” of 20 minutes” trying to reach someone at Wide Open West. What kind of customer service thinks that a 20 minute wait is okay? A shitty one, that’s who. I can’t believe that they think this is acceptable. So here I sit, waiting for the first person that won’t be able to answer my questions, to pick up the phone.

Why you ask? Why would anyone in thier right mind, wait such a ridiculous amount of time to speak with someone? Well, out TV is having a little problem. I’m not a cable box technician, nor do I pretend to be, but I’m pretty sure that our HD cable box is….oh what is the technical term for it…..oh yeah, fucked. I came home from work today and tried to turn the TV on. At the time, I didn’t notice that the cable box wasn’t even showing the time. I realised this right after I noticed that no matter how many times, or how hard, I hit the power button on the remote, the TV just wasn’t cooperating.

Okay….so as I sit here, the cable box is rebooting itself over and over again. WTF? Someone just picked up. His name is Riginald. His operator number is 0H8. He doesn’t get cable where he lives. That’s right, the fucking cable tech support guy just told me that he doesn’t get cable where he lives. Whew, now I have a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. The best part is the TV just came on. It rebooted like 5 times, by itself, then came on like nothing was going on. Great.

I told good ol Reggie what happened, and I told him I want a new box. So they are going to come out tomorrow to swap it out. I also told ol Reggie that I think a 20 minute hold time is absolutely retarded, and that their customer service is terrible if they think that is acceptable. He told me that they are in the process of setting up a brand new call center, to cut down on the wait time. Apparentlt, I’m not the only person to complain about that. How odd. I then told him that the size limitation on their inboxes is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of, and he had no idea what I was talking about. I don’t mean he didn’t know about the size limitation, I mean he didn’t know what the fuck “10mb” was.

Every once in a while, I have a wicked allergy attack in the morning. It’s weird the way it happens though. I wake up in the morning fine, get ready and drive to work fine, settle in my office and BAM! My allergies go apeshit. There is something here at work that sets me off. Wendy thinks it’s black mold, which is comforting. Anyway, I’m having one of those days today. I took an Allegra, which will hopefully start to work soon, but damn, this sucks. I’m constantly sniffling here at the office, and I’m pretty sure everyone thinks I’m a coke head. Which, actually makes me giggle.
