Clever farmers…

February 10th, 2006 | Category: Fun

Go to maps.google.co.uk and search for “Billingley”. Switch to satellite view, and look to the left of the town.

Man, those South Yorkshire farmers are a hoot aren’t they.

Super Bowl

February 06th, 2006 | Category: Fun

Going into the game yesterday, I was pretty indifferent on who I wanted to win. I’m not a fan of either team, so no big deal. I was actually watching for the commercials. I do think that Seattle got totally screwed, and that the officiating was the worst I’ve ever seen in a Super Bowl. From the phantom offensive pass interference, to Rothlesburgers called touchdown, to the clipping call on Hasslebeck. Seattle just got jammed left and right. The officials blew this game. The biggest game of the year, and they totally blew it. I don’t know if Seattle would still have won if the calls were made correctly, but I know that the game would have been different. These were big calls. I think the refs should lose their jobs. It’s too bad that the game had to be this way.

As far as the commercials go, wow, they sucked. Just lke every year, the Bud Light commercials were by far the best. Seriously though, why is it that every other commercial is a fucking Greys Anatomy commercial? I’m sick of that damn show, and I’ve never seen it. I hope it gets cancelled.

First Survivor

February 03rd, 2006 | Category: Fun

So, I decided that I hated my Survivor people, without ever meeting them. I was right. But the good thing is that I won’t have to look at my girl anymore….because the botch got voted out the first night. Awesome.

After I watched the episode last night, I thought that there was no way those women would vote off Tina. She was the only one who was worth a damn around camp. But on day one, they voted out the strongest person in thier tribe. Brilliant. I’m thinking, maybe day one isn’t a good time to worry about voting off the strongest, maybe they should be worried about things like food, and shelter. Instead, they vote out Tina, a fucking lumber jack (lumber Jill is just stupid), and keep the lady afraid of leaves.

AFRAID IF FUCKING LEAVES

I hope those bitches starve to death.

On a lighter note, my guy made an early alliance last night. If you saw the episode, he was the guy who was so pale during tha challenge, you could see his pastey ass from space. Which makes sense, since he’s a retired astronaut. Kel asked “he’s so old, was he like the first astronaut?” which was funny as hell.

Survivor Thursday

February 02nd, 2006 | Category: Fun

It’s here again. Sirvivor time. We had our dinner last week, and we picked our new people. I can’t remember which people I have, but I remember not liking them right off the bat, on looks alone. Dammit. I have two people I hate, again, and I don’t even know them yet.

Pistons vs Timberwolves

February 02nd, 2006 | Category: Fun

I went to the Stones game last night. Great game, if you’re a Pistons fan. Not so much, if you’re a KG or Timberwolves fan. It was a good time for us. Jerome Bettis and Ben Rothlesburger were there. I think there were a few more Steelers there, but I couldn’t tell who was who from where we were sitting. Ben and the Bus were wearing Stones gear, which is why they stood out. Plus, they got a standing ovation.

On a TV timeout, they had the Bud Light Real Men of Genious guys there. They did one of their commercials, but it was all about the Pistons and thier fans. It was great. I found out that the voice over guy for that campaign is the voice of Comedy Central. (remember when Penn Gilette used to do the voice overs for that channel? No? Just me? Okay)

I also found out that the guy who does the singing for it, is the original lead singer from Survivor. I had no idea that was him. I also didn’t know that after thier first album, he quit the band, and that little fella from the Starbucks commercials took over. Learn something new everyday.
