Toshiba Laptop
So, I have two laptops. My Dell D800, and a Toshiba Satellite 1905-S301. I’ve been using the Toshiba as a quick lookup computer in our family room. I leave it under the couch for whenever we need to know what show some actor is from, or the nutritional information of a Wendy’s hot and spicy chicken sandwich.
I also had the extended warranty for it. Which, for the first 2.75 years, seemed like a ripoff. That was untill the battery stopped holding a charge. I got a new battery free of charge. Okay, so the warranty just paid for itself.
In December I get a notice that my extended warranty is running out, and I can renew it for X amount of dollars. I just replaced tha battery, and I don’t use it that much, so i decided not to renew the warranty again.
So….how long do you think it took for the fucking thing to die? That would be two months. It’s not completely dead. It seems like it’s overheating. It will run fine for a little while, then it just shuts itself off. I don’t think it’s a virus or anything, but it could be. The problem is I can’t run a full system scan without it turning off half way through. Let the thing sit for a while, and it will run for a bit again.
Since I only use it for quick web searches and stuff, it still serves it’s purpose a bit. The problem is if I hop on my site and want to post it usually dies half way through me typing, or if I’m watching the “Juggernaut Bitch” video for the 100th time, it will die in the middle.
Seriously though, what are the chances that this shit starts happening 2 months after the warranty runs out? Pretty good I guess.
