Thursday night I went to the 311 concert. We had a good time. 311 wailed, although they didn’t play “Feels So Good”. How do you NOT play that song? It’s their best friggin song! It’s not like they couldn’t fit it in to the program, they only play for a little over an hour. But they sounded great, so it was half okay that they didn’t play it…fuckers. Rodney and I had fun finding the people there that were older then us, although sadly, there weren’t that many to be found. You know, there was even a part where they said “this is for our old school fans” and I was thinking, finally they’re playing feels so good. They played “Down”. Down? Really? Come on. Anyway, it was fun. Lots of crazy, totally wasted kids running around, and some really good music.

Oh yeah, their opening act was a dude named Matisyahu. Picture this, dude from new york, reggae sound, beat boxin, over a hiphop/rock track. That dude was really good. The best part is he’s jewish and looks it! I mean long beard, the hat, everything. He’s just missing the curls. So when you think of a random jewish stereotype, he’s what you picture. Now picture him wiith a reggae accent and beat boxin with his guitarist. See how fun that sounds? That’s how fun he was!
