You know, we play poker every Friday night. Everyone knows that. We have a nice NLHE/Omaha dealers choice cash game. $60 max buyin, .25/.50 blinds, reload under $10 as much as you want.

It’s just funny how our games go. For example, a week ago Friday we had 11 guys playing. Last Friday, we had 4. I know that last Friday was Good Friday, and I shouldn’t expect a good turnout anyway, but it’s not isolated to just last Friday. This is how the game always is. Maybe I expect too much from people. Once a week is a lot to play. It’s easy for me, without any kids or anything, but I can see how it would be tough for people with larger families. The thing is, I would just like to have a running game, where I don’t have to call everyone on Friday to see if they’re going to play. I would like 5 or 6 (or 8 really) guys that would just always be there, and I would only have to talk to them IF they couldn’t make it. Then the responsibility would be up to them to make sure they let the rest of us know they weren’t going to be there, instead of me having to call everyone each week.

That’s my dream. Too much to ask?
