Day 2, back to work. I’m trying be normal again. I’ve been walking around in kind of a funk since my Dad passed away. Still in it. The weird part is that I’m a total rock. No idea why, I just am. Everyone keeps telling me to let it out, but I’m not holding anything back. Strange.
I hit the gym this morning for the first time in a week. Johnny underwear was there again today. This is a guy who likes to walk around the locker room in his drawers, for what seems to be an uncomfortable amount of time. He’s also the guy that refuses to dry off in the shower stall, and comes out into the common area to do that. Seriously, get in, shower up, and get the fuck out. There is no reason to hang out in the locker room. I feel weird if it takes me too long to do my hair, yet this fucking guy loves it in there.
Whatever, it seemed like a short workout today, which is okay since I haven’t done anything but eat garbage for a week.
1 commentHey Pops, Jasmine is coming up to keep you company
I posted this on perfectmancave.com and I figured I would just copy and paste it here as I didn’t feel like typing it out again. I put the original post in quotes, and the rest at the end I added.
“First off, fuck cancer.
Yesterday morning at 9:01am, my father lost a 14 year long battle with cancer and passed away. He had 3 different kinds of cancer over those 14 years. First, it was some sort of throat cancer. He had a 4″ tumor removed from his tongue, and had to learn to talk and eat again. The second was prostate cancer. Oddly enough, that was found during a pre-op for a heart problem he was having. It was stage 1, and they got it early enough. This last one was esophageal cancer, which is a very bad one. They thought they got it all out of his esophagus, but it had already spread, and it couldn’t be stopped. Once they stopped treating him because it just made him sick, but didn’t do anything to the cancer, it was a quick decline. Just a couple of weeks ago he came into one of my stores for lunch with my cousin. He had never been there, and I met them and had lunch with them. He wasn’t eating real well, and was real tired since they had done some running around that day, but I’m glad he got to see the place I work for. We (the 3 kids) basically moved into his house two days ago, and were with him the majority of the time. Oddly enough, after being there all day and night, I decided to shoot home (only a few minutes away) to get my blood pressure pills, and to take a quick shower. When I got out of the shower, I found out that he died while I was gone. A year ago he was given 6 months max to live. A month ago the doctors called him a walking miracle. Now, he can finally relax and get some peace.
R.I.P. Pops. You’re a real life Superman

We’ve been running around, getting everything ready for the funeral, while my dog Jasmine was sick. My wife had taken her to the vet a couple of times as we think she has Cushings disease. Well, she started to get real aggressive towards the other dog, and she started throwing up, so we took her back to the vet. We found out that along with her liver problems, she actually had something lodged in her stomach that was blocking her food, and was probably what was making her act like such a dick to the other dog. She had to go under the knife to get that removed. She did that two days ago, but she was running a fever, so they wouldn’t let her go home. They said that by Thursday, if they could get the fever under control, she could go home. Well today, my wife called me from the vets to say that Jaz wasn’t getting better. I went and visited between running errands for the funeral, and she was so doped up she couldn’t lift her head. She then went to the urgent care hospital. They said that they needed to open her back up to see why she was declining instead of getting better. They sent my wife home and said they would call after the 2 hour procedure. 20 minutes after my wife got home we got the call. Jaz didn’t survive the anesthetic and she passed away this afternoon.”
I’m just kind of numb right now. I don’t know what to feel. I know that this week is the worst week of my life, and it’s only Wednesday. Seriously, what the fuck?

6 commentsDude…I’m stuffed!
When Deb came in to work today she said she was starving, and we decided to get breakfast. I just ate a ham and cheese omelet, with feta. It was fucking great. I’m totally stuffed right now. (good thing I was at the gym this morning)
I think it was the way I ate it that made me so full though. I didn’t want anyone here to be pissed that we didn’t ask anyone if they wanted anything, so I ate that damn thing like I was Kobayashi at a hot dog eating contest. I was like covering the take out container with one hand, and shoveling it in with the other. It was quit a site.
Sure was good though!
2 commentsHi
It’s been so long since I’ve posted here, that my site didn’t remember me. Anyway, just thought I would drop in and say hi. A lot of shit has been going on lately, and I’m busy as hell all the time. It seems like I never have 5 minutes for anything.
Work is crazy. I get calls all day every day, but I love my job and the people I work with, so it makes it easy to take. The 3:30am calls kind of suck, but it comes with the job, so what are you going to do.
My motorcycle is almost back together, and by almost I mean not really at all. Actually, that isn’t true. I could ride it today if I wanted to. I just don’t have the plastics on yet. Everything else is back together though, and it looks great so far.
We started our poker league last Saturday, and the first game went great. Except for the part where I busted out first…that sucked. It’s okay though, cause I hate tournament poker, and just wanted the bigger cash game afterward. That doesn’t mean I won’t try to not be the first dumbass out next month though.
A little update on my Dad. He’s really sick right now, and the doctors have stopped treating him and starting focusing on keeping him comfortable. The chemo wasn’t doing anything to the cancer anymore, so there was no need to continue with it. It’s also spreading quickly. If prayer is your thing, it would be great if you threw one his way.
That’s it for now. I will be posting more as I do have some funny stories to tell, I’ll just post them as I think of them.
1 commentNeed your prayers…
Scott’s dad has taken a turn for the worse this week, please keep him in your prayers. At this time he needs all the love and support he can get, both him and his family!
I know I can count on family to help us through this.
We love you.
