League Structure: 10 game season, over 10 months. Championship game on the 11th month. Monthly, 2 table. T20,000 starting stack. 6:00pm starting time.
Blind Structure for Monthly games:
This is a 100% payout league. One major change in 2010, from 2009, is that there will only be one championship game that everyone will be eligible for. Your starting chip stack is based on how you finish the season. The monthly tournaments will have a point structure attached to them. This is how we will determine your starting stack in the championship game.
This is the points system. It’s based on a reverse point system, but with points+ for the top 3 spots: 1st place 35 pts 11th place 10 pts
Your starting stack in the Championship game depends on where you finished in the monthly games. Here is the breakdown:
*This is based on 16 players and will be adjusted if we get more
The blind structure for the Championship tournament is as follows:
Championship game payout structure is as follows: 1st place $500 2nd place $280 3rd place $140 4th place $80 5th place $40
*this payout will increase if we get more then 16 players
Prop Bets We will have available to anyone who wants to get involved, a prop bet sheet at each event. For $20, you can get in on 4 different props per tournament. The payout will depend on how many people participate. The payout will be divided 4 ways, between these prop bets:
1. 1st person to crack aces 25% payout 2. Bountys. Each person involved in the props, will get a Bounty chip. You can only win a bounty, if you have one of your own. Each Bounty chips is worth $5 at the end of the night, or when you are busted out of the tournament. 3. High hand of the night. You must have Aces full of Tens to qualify. (AAATT) Highest hand of the night that meets the qualifications gets 25% of the prop total to be paid out after the event is over. If no one qualifies, the money goes towards the Championship and Losers tournaments at the end of the season. 4. Bad beat prop. Must have an Ace high flush to qualify. First person to crack an ace high flush or higher gets 30% of the bad beat pool. The person with the losing Ace high flush (or higher) gets 70% of the bad beat pool
The prop bets that are not paid will be carried over to the next monthly game. If someone previously not in the props, wishes to participate, they must also pay for the previous props that carry over. No one is allowed to free roll for prop bets from one month to the next. Added to the rules this year, is a one hand showdown for the Aces prop if not paid out before the Championship game. We did this in 09, and oddly enough, someone was dealt aces, and they were cracked. Also, if there are carry over props going into the Nov game, then the high hand of the night, and the worst beat of the night, whether they qualify or not, will get the props. There will be no carry over props to the Championship game.
For the Championship game, we have a $20 bounty prop only.

A little reminder on poker etiquette. Those of you that have played in any of our cash or tournament games already know that we follow these rules to the T, and will do so in this league. POKER ETIQUETTE The following actions are improper, and grounds for warning, suspending, or barring a violator: Deliberately acting out of turn. Deliberately splashing chips into the pot. Keep all bets in front of you until all bets are in for that round. Then push them in the pot. Agreeing to check a hand down when a third player is all-in. NO COLUSION is allowed. Period. You can check something down without mentioning it to the table. Any colluding could result in your hand being declared dead, and getting a verbal warning. Softplaying by refusing to bet against a certain opponent whenever heads-up. Play everyone the same. Reading a hand for another player at the showdown before it has been placed faceup on the table. If you’re not in the hand, then do not speak about the hand. Revealing the contents of a live hand in a multihanded pot before the betting is complete. Revealing the contents of a folded hand before the betting is complete. Do not divulge the contents of a hand during a deal even to someone not in the pot, so you do not leave any possibility of the information being transmitted to an active player. Needlessly stalling the action of a game. We are all on the same clock. Anyone at the table has the right to call a clock on anyone else. If called, the person waiting to act has 1 minute or the hand is declared dead. Verbal action is binding. Always announce your intentions so there is no confusion. One chip rule is in play. If you throw a 5000 chip into a 400 blind, and do not announce a raise, you are just calling the blinds and will receive change back. Again, announce your intentions to avoid confusion. Deliberately discarding hands away from the muck. Cards should be released in a low line of flight, at a moderate rate of speed (not at the dealer's hands or chip-rack). All folded cards go into the muck. No one cares what you had after the action is complete in a hand. Stacking chips in a manner that interferes with dealing or viewing cards. Also, do not hide chips in your stack. All higher denom chips must be visible to the entire table. Making statements or taking action that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the offender is involved in the pot. ONE PERSON PER HAND. Don’t even joke about a hand in progress. Using a cell phone at the table. Step away if you need to make a call. No rabbit hunting. Ever. We are on a tournament clock. Don’t make the rest of the table wait for you to look to see what might have happened. These are not outlandish requests. These are standard rules you should always abide by when playing poker. This is a relaxing, social game, but that doesn’t mean that the rules should be ignored. Your home game may allow these rules to be bent or broken, but we won’t. When it’s all said and done, everyone will have a better time when these simple rules are followed. |
