I did the etching last night

Here it is:

Came out pretty good if I say so myself. I also moved the switch from inside the storage compartment to the top of it. I figured I bought a lighted switch, that matched my system (red light) so you might as well be able to see it.

DVD player install

September 18th, 2003 | Category: Auto

As I type my DVD player is being installed in my truck. It plays DVD’s, CD’s, CDRW’s, and CD’s with MP3’s on them. It also has component inputs for a PS2 or whatever. And it’s a slot loader. :) The only problem is, I don’t have enough room in my glove box without hacking it to shit, so I had to get it mounted under the seat. But’s it’s in the middle, right under the rear seat, so it should be easy to get to. It will also make the PS2 install a lot easier if I decide to put on in, because I allready have my inverter mounted under the passenger seat. So I’m excited about that whole project.

Haunted House Update
Nothing really new to update about this. I’ve started decorating and hopefully will have a big update next week.

Almost Wedding Time
Well, 9 days till the big day. I’m excited. We have sort of a rehersal on Saturday, more just a run through. That should be fun. Kel and I have a lot of work to do now. We have a ton of shit to pick up, and deliver to Port Huron. Were going out early on Saturday to deliver the candlabra’s, columns, and a bunch of other stuff. Another reason I wanted to get the DVD installed now, we have a lot of driving to do. :)

Truck Stereo Update

August 21st, 2003 | Category: Auto

I had posted earlier that I wasn’t sure if I was going to hook up my Kenwood and my subs myself, or have someone else do it. Well, I went to Mickey Shorre to have them take care of it. I figured, let them have the headache.

I went on Tuesday, after I woke up(got in from Vegas at 6:00am). They hooked it up in about 1.5 hours. Which I thought was a long time. Who knows. Anyway, I get in my truck, and start to drive home. My speakers sound terrible! What the hell?? Maybe they screwed with the amp when they were hooking it up. So I screw with the settings…nothing. Still sounds terrible, DAMMIT!

I go back to Mickey’s yesterday. I told them that they hooked my shit, and it sounds terrible. They say they’ll look at it. 1.5 hours later, I find out that they hooked it up wrong the first time. I wasn’t very happy. Hell, I could have very easily fucked up the install, which is why I paid them assholes to do it. Anyway, 2 hours after I got there, they finished my shit. It THUNDERS.

I told the manager there that because I had to spend 4 fucking hours at their joint, I want him to hook me up with a good DVD player for my truck. I have the TV, just need the player and the install. We’ll see what he comes back with.

My new truck!

August 08th, 2003 | Category: Auto

Got a new truck yesterday! Woohoo!

I bought a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Edition. The lowdown:
Fire Red.
Painted grey trim “Sport” edition. I hate the plastic crap.
17″ Wheels “Sport” edition
Chrome Grill “Sport” edition
4 door, 4 wheel drive.
Graphite leather seats
Moonrooof
6 disc in-dash cd changer, with 290watt stock system. My Kenwood KAC7201 amp, and Alpine Type E subs will be installed as soon as I decide whether I want to do it, or just pay someone to.
Rear sensing system. Kind of annoying, although I can see where this would come in handy in jacked-up parking lots.

Basically, it has every option. I love this thing. The ride is fantastic. Maybe a set of 20″ spinners in my future?
