Awesome
Thanks baby!
3 commentsHell of a week
I’ve been working in back for a lot of the week. I don’t mind it at all really, except for the fact that the two guys that work back there don’t like each other, and NEVER talk to one another. That gets a little ridiculous. But other than that, I don’t mind it.
I am looking forward to the weekend though. I’ve been doing a lot of artwork lately, so hopefully I can get some pieces finished and posted up. I don’t know why, but I’ve been really inspired lately. So I’m looking forward to doing that this weekend.
It’s been a little hectic, and I forgot to mention the grand opening. (Sorry Mom and Mike)
Wednesday was the grand opening of their new store in downtown Port Huron! There was a ribbon cutting ceremony that the city did, the mayor was there, bunch of counsel members, it was really cool. Kel and I got out of work early to go up and surprise them. The store look great! They really did a great job on it. Anyway, if you’re ever in the neighborhood, stop by and see them. I don’t know the address but they are the corner building on the northeast side of Military bridge right on Main Street in downtown Port Huron. (GREAT location)
After the grand opening, they took us to dinner at The Fog Cutter. This is a restaurant on top of an office building with a panaramic view of the city, and the river. Really nice place, and good food. Good times, thanks again guys!
4 commentsVan Helsing day
Van Helsing comes out on DVD today. I’m buying it. I think I want to get Smallville on DVD also. On Nov 15th they’re releasing a 3 pack, all three seasons on DVD. I might pick that up. I missed the third season, so instead of trying to pick it back up on TV, I might as well catch up on DVD. 140 bucks is a lot though….lol, like that’s going to stop me.
FYI
amazon.com has a sale going on right now. 63% off all season one boxed sets. 24 is on there, and although I’ve never watched that show, I know people that do, so that’s for you. I wonder if Smallville is on there, maybe I’ll buy that for 15 bucks, and then just pick up the rest later. Okay, gotta go check amazon.
Educating the masses
From time to time, I use internet acronyms in my posts. It was brought to my attention recently that not everyone knows what these letters mean. I’m not going to point fingers, or name names (Brian) but I’ve decided for you poor unfortunate few that don’t understand “net lingo” to post a list. Hopefully thwarting any further confusion when reading my site. You can imagine how embarrassing it is when I post “lol” to someone, and they think I’m saying “lots of love”. Especially to some of my guy friends who might have thought that (Clay). Who knows, maybe with this knowledge, in the future, you won’t surf the web totally clueless. My gift to you. This is in no way a complete list. Just ones that I sometimes use. To get you in the right mind set, think back to the days of junior high, and the acronyms in our year books. ASS meaning always stay sweet, that kind of thing.
So, without further ado, I bring to you my list of frequently used internet acronyms:
AFAIK - as far as I know
ATM - at the moment
BBL - be back later
BTW - by the way
CYM - check your mail
DIY - do it yourself
GTG or G2G - got to go
IIRC - if I remember correctly
IMO - in my opinion
IMHO - in my humble opinion
IRL - in real life
LMAO - laughing my ass off
LOL - laughed (or laughing) out loud
LMMFAO - laughing my mother fucking ass off
LMK - let me know
PITA - pain in the ass
ROFL - rolling on floor laughing
TTYL - talk to you later
TY - thank you
THX - thanks
These are just some of the ones I could think of. You might read a few of these here on this site, and there is a possibility that you may never see some of these again. One thing is for sure though, you can now comfortably communicate with all the perverts and pedophiles in those chatrooms that you lurk in. Enjoy.
2 commentsShort Weekend
Aren’t they all?
Well this weekend I worked at the haunted house everyday. Big suprise. 3 days left until we open, and the sign STILL isn’t on the building yet. Oh well, I need to look at this froma different direction. Like my wife said, if Billy and my Dad aren’t going to be stressed out by the whole thing, why should I? Fuck it. So that’s my new attitude. Fuck it. I will be there every night this week again, trying to get everything done. But if it doesn’t, oh well.
Saturday Kel and I went to look at TV’s for the blue room. We were kicking around the idea of a plasma because the wall mounting idea is extremely appealing. The 55,000 hour life expectancy is not appealing however. Combine that with the fact that you have to have a professional install it because the angle has to be perfect (another 300-500 bucks) and the plasma was a no go. Next option is LCD. We would still have the ability to hang it on the wall, but like with everything, new technology, higher price tag. So no go on the LCD. We ended up picking up a 46″ Sony Wega widescreen HD TV. This one:

Man this thing is pretty. We got the stand that it’s on also. Thursday Comcast is coming out to run our HiDef lines to the house. I stil have to see if I can get that day off though. Although, that shouldn’t be a problem.
Tonight, I swim!
Going swimming tonight. The temperature of the pool was 85 degrees yesterday. So today when I go home, I’m swimming. Kel vacuumed the pool yesterday, so I can’t wait to get home tonight.
FYI
I’ve cancelled the Friday night at the shop poker game this week. I just don’t feel like doing it. Nate is stepping up to host, so if anyone wants to play that doesn’t have his number, you can call me and I’ll get you guys in touch with him. I’m out.
Last Dance with Mary Jane on the iPod
1 commentAWESOME!
I think I need to own one of these. 1100 bucks isn’t bad for some Navy Seal shit like this. ![]()
This Rules! Click me!
Pool’s almost full
Once it’s full, I’ll take pictures and post them so you all can see it.
Other than that, not much going on today. I have Happy Valentine’s Day by Outkast playing on the iPod right now, and I’m about ready to go to lunch. And it’s only 9:30. :/
2 commentsOh yeah, the pool
Comments from my sister and my father, lead me to beleive that not everyone knows about our pool, lol.
It’s true we decided NOT to get a pool until next year. We then came across a deal we couldn’t pass up, so we did in fact buy a pool this year. It’s 27′ round. I’ll post pics when it’s up and done. ![]()
Service Guy
Is it me, or does everyone in the service industry always assume that you, the consumer, never has anything to do?
The other day, we had a guy that was supposed to come over to do some work, blah blah. He tells Kel that he will call to let us know when he will be there. Well we sit home and wait, does he ever call? No way. We called him, left a message saying that we had shit we wanted to do, and to please call us back to let us know what the deal was, and he still didn’t call back right away. Hell, we went on an 11 mile bike ride, came home, and he STILL hadn’t called us back.
Also the pool guy came by and looked at the area where the pool is going. We’re all set, tomorrow they should start on installing the pool.
